A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet

'Tis the season...
to make tasty treats and share them with friends!
If any of you have ever tried my mother's famous caramel popcorn,
you are in for a serious treat...LITERALLY!
Merry Christmas everyone,
from my mom, to me, to YOU!

What you'll need:
If your making your own popcorn- 1/2 cup of kernels
or 1 1/2 bags of plain popcorn
2 sticks/1 cup of butter
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
14 large marshmallows

Once you have all your ingredients out, you will want to pop your popcorn and put it in a large bowl.
Next, you will need a medium sized pot.
Put the 2 sticks of butter in and put it to medium heat.
Add your white and brown sugar.
Add your 14(no more, no less) large marshmallows.
Stir on the medium heat until all ingredients are melted and mixed together.
Once the marshmallows are completely melted, you will want to remove the pot from the heat immediately.
Poor the mixture on top of the popcorn and mix with a large spoon.

Let cool for 15 minutes (if you can) and ENJOY!

I decided to share this yummy treat with my co-workers, so I made them into popcorn balls and put them in cute Santa bags!

Adorable, right??

I hope you all enjoy this yummy recipe I shared with you!
Let us all remember what the real meaning of Christmas is and remember our Savior and His birth. I am so grateful for Him and my Heavenly Father and for all They do for me.
Happy Holidays everyone, from my family to yours.

Until Next Year...

It's DONE!

We finished the dresser I was telling you about!
It's even more gorgeous than I imagined it would be.
Check it out for yourself and tell me what you think?
(P.S. Don't mind the horrible quality of these pics, they were taken from the ol' iphone)

Isn't she a beauty?
I decided to take some angled pics since I'm all artsy fartsy now :)
Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

A close up on the amazing knobs!

I can't tell you how much fun I had redoing this dresser. It was good times with my friend Ashley who helped me from start to finish and so much information I now know on how to make an ugly piece of furniture look as gorgeous as this.
Let's just put it this way...
I will NEVER buy a new piece of furniture AGAIN.
It's all craigslist and garage sales for me from now on...
I know too much and I can't go back.

Until next time...

Time flies when you're having FUN

Has it really been TWO YEARS??
It sure has!
Two years ago on December 12th, I was sealed to my best friend in the Salt Lake City, UT Temple.
I started looking through our wedding album and decided to post a few of my favorites to remember that cold but amazing day...

We have learned so much about one another in the two years we have been married...

He can and will watch sports center/CNBC anytime of the day
She watches those stupid shows- Teen Mom and The Kardashians
He never knows what he did wrong
She likes to get mad over nothing and anything...
He squeezes the toothpaste from the middle
She squeezes it from the end
He likes expensive things
She is really cheap
He needs quiet time
She has too much energy
He likes to make messes
She sometimes like to clean up
He likes things simple
She always finds a way to complicate things
He likes to be early
She's always late
He is a morning person
Don't wake her up before 9am
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY...
He loves her
She loves him

The past 2+ years have been the best of my life.
I feel so lucky and blessed to have found the love of my life and that I get to hang out with him everyday. I can't imagine me without him. ;)

We spent our anniversary day being lazy and just hanging out together. It was rainy and so we slept in, snuggled, got massages, snuggled some more, then enjoyed dinner at the Cheesecake Factory together.
It was perfect.

"No measure of time with you will be long enough. But we'll start with forever..."
(yes, I totally stole that from the Twilight book/movie Breaking Dawn)

Until next time...

Project Dresser

I am attempting to redo this dresser I found on craigslist.
It's kind of cute already, right? WRONG...wait until you see how it's going to look.
It's looking absolutely amazing right now thanks to my friend Ashley, I seriously would have no idea how to do this without her! She has been so kind to let me use her garage, her tools and her knowledge.
(I posted her button called "furniture fix" to the right if you would like to see just how awesome she is at this business.)
I am totally getting addicted to the process and can't wait to see the finished look!
Wish me luck :)

Until next time...

Hiking Camelback

While Jeff's little sister Hayley was in town for Thanksgiving AND since it was her first time EVER in Arizona, we really wanted to show her around and take her to visit some cool places while she was here.
One of those places was CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN.
I actually hadn't been hiking there since I was probably 12 or 13 years old but I did remember it was a pretty steep hike and that the views were to die for.
This was Jeff's first time on the mountain as well, so it was super fun.
We also had the pleasure of meeting up with our friends from Utah-the Markhams.
We just happen to always be in the same places at the same times :)

I am super bummed I didn't get more pictures of the whole group together. I was kind of slow going up on account of me being so out of shape these days...

Jeff, me, Hayley and my dad

On our way up to the trail

Jeff and Hayley

Half way up...the views were just getting better and better the higher we got.

What a breathtaking view from the top (well almost)

Unfortunately, I had to work so we didn't have enough time to get to the tippy top but we were pretty darn close. None the less, we had a blast hiking and hanging with our family and friends!

Until next time...
